Objective Criteria for judging the Quality of a DNA Laboratory

Almost every laboratory uses the attributes "fast" and "reliable". You do not need to be an expert to evaluate a laboratory. With the help of the criteria listed below everybody is able to get a picture of the liability and quality of a DNA testing laboratory.

Accreditation:

According to the German Gene Diagnostic Act (GenDG) of February 2010, since 2011 every DNA testing laboartory is obliged to have an accreditation for carrying out genetic analyses. The Eurofins Medigenomix laboratory has an ISO 17025:2005 (DAR:D-PL-18779-01-00) accreditation.

Ring Trials

Eurofins Medigenomix Forensik GmbH has a Long term record of participating regularly and successfully in the ring Trials of the German Stain Commission (GEDNAP, DGRM), the German Society for Paternity Analysis (DGAB) and the International Society for Forensic Genetics (ISFG).
